5 Ways To Create Your Own Crystal Meanings✨💎✨

Here is an excerpt from Katrina Raphaell’s book Crystal Healing – The Therapeutic Application of Crystals and Stones:

My advice to those in search of what they already inwardly know concerning crystals, is to use your own intuition as you explore the resources of this phenomenal world of light and knowledge what rings true on your own inner touchstone. Information in Crystal Enlightenment, Vol. 1, and the following material in Crystal Healing Vol. 2, is what I have personally received, experienced and witnessed in my work and research with crystals during the last decade. Your experience is your own. Personal unfoldment with crystals is dependent upon the willingness each individual has to sit, be still, clear the mind, open the heart, and perceive the insight that will be perfectly made to order.

It’s true, I source a lot of the meanings from a few crystal books on here, but I’d really like to get away from that eventually and start writing more of my own. I guess the point of this blog post is to let anyone who finds this know that you CAN create your own personal crystal meanings.

Why bother doing this when it’s all online anyway?

That’s exactly it – there’s TOO MUCH information on the internet – a lot of the times it’s either conflicting or confusing and yet we are quick to “google it” and rely on them – myself included, ultimately forgetting to trust and rely on our own intuition and not allowing our own unique experiences to have a say in the matter.

So yes, there’s a lot of crystal and stone meanings that you can use. But does all of it resonate with you personally?

How does one even begin to create their own crystal meanings?🧐

Here are 5 suggestions; feel free to add to this and as always, only do what feels right to you:

1. Meditate with the crystal or stone or spend a few minutes by holding the crystal or stone in your hand.

Most will say that your non-dominant hand is better for receiving the energy of the crystal or stone, but also try with your dominant hand. How does it feel, is it any different?

2. Spend time with them like they’re your friends. I personally like to read, journal, listen to music or read tarot for myself with all my stones present. Over time, your crystal collection will start to communicate with you in the most subtle way. It will be hard to explain and you will probably come off as crazy to your family if they don’t get it. I promise you will be happier though.

3a Observe the physical characteristics of the crystal like shape, color, texture. Is it opaque, clear, does it have rainbows, does it have inclusions or other minerals on or in it?
3b Observe how the stone makes you feel: does it make you feel more calm, more energized?

4. If you are creative – why not draw, paint, take photos or incorporate crystals into your designs?

I believe this is the main reason why I started selling crystals – I just felt inspired by them. They are an absolute joy to work with and the people who buy them from me are just as kind and wonderful. Unlike most people who just buy things online and have a tendency to be mean, impatient or selfish; from my experience so far – people who buy minerals have great energy.

5. If none of the above are working for you, I would try color or word association.

For example, let’s use Carnelian. Carnelian is often a red, orange, brown stone. What words can you associate with red? Red is the color of blood, red is love, red roses, red is our beating heart, red is sexy, red is passion and power, red is also anger and aggression. I can keep going but I think you get my drift here.❤️

Conclusion:

So have fun, get magical and creative getting to know your crystals and stones. It’s okay to search for the general meaning of them but it’s also just as important to create your own interpretations. It’s a great way to increase our perception and intuitve abilities, as well as expand consciousness.

Shuhari is a martial arts concept that I’d like to add here because in some ways, it covers a lot of the same concepts that I’m attempting to explain:

“It is known that, when we learn or train in something, we pass through the stages of shu, ha, and ri. These stages are explained as follows. In shu, we repeat the forms and discipline ourselves so that our bodies absorb the forms that our forebears created. We remain faithful to these forms with no deviation. Next, in the stage of ha, once we have disciplined ourselves to acquire the forms and movements, we make innovations. In this process the forms may be broken and discarded. Finally, in ri, we completely depart from the forms, open the door to creative technique, and arrive in a place where we act in accordance with what our heart/mind desires, unhindered while not overstepping laws.”

It’s going to take practice and dedication, but I promise you that if you keep at it you will start to ‘hear’ the stones speak to you about their purpose in your life. It also really helps to get off your phone, watch less TV, spend more time alone. All you have to do is ask and intend to receive information from them.

How Do We Experience the Metaphysical?✨👁✨

Definition of metaphysical

adjective

  1. concerned with abstract thought or subjects, as existence, causality, or truth.
  2. concerned with first principles and ultimate grounds, as being, time, or substance.
  3. highly abstract, subtle, or abstruse.
  4. designating or pertaining to the poetry of an early group of 17th-century English poets, notably John Donne, whose characteristic style is highly intellectual and philosophical and features intensive use of ingenious conceits and turns of wit.
  5. Archaic . imaginary or fanciful.

It’s kind of a conundrum, isn’t it?

How do we experience the metaphysical in this physical world?🌎

If you’ve ever dreamt while sleeping then you’ve already experienced it. But when we dream, we’re not actively in control. So when we’re awake, there are 3 main ways to start. And no, you don’t have to do drugs to achieve this state.

  1. Meditation
  2. Imagination
  3. Self Knowledge

Meditation

Learn how to meditate, as this will be the main component to experiencing the metaphysical. Guided meditations, meditating with crystals or going out in nature are just a few great ways to start.

Imagination

Remember when you were a kid and your parents most likely told you that it was “just your imagination”? Sadly, human society tends to stifle this in young children early on. Then we grow up and hardly use it anymore.

It sucks but it’s never too late to get into the habit of using your imagination again. I mean, just what if? This is also a main ingredient in magic and manifestation; you literally have to imagine and feel as if what you want is already yours.

This will help you expand your creativity and get closer to having meta experiences.

Self Knowledge

What does self knowledge have to do with the metaphysical? Everything! The more you know yourself, the closer you will get to remembering who you really are underneath your human identity: a spiritual being having a human existence. We are playing in the physical world and experiencing what it’s like to be human.

It might be overwhelming at first to realize this, but over time you will come to know the truth.

If you’re having issues with the spiritual part, then instead think of yourself as pure, conscious energy. Energy that is existing in a physical body, energy that has thoughts, feelings; energy that expresses itself through writing, speaking, touching and tasting as well as doing things that they’re good at.

Conclusion:

This blog post is short, but I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much information. The fun part is discovering all of this on your own, as your spirit will lead you to the right places, books, teachers and yes…crystals!✨

Harmony and Balance with All That Is

I saw this posted on a few Instagrams but have no clue as to who actually created this. If you’re the creator of this image, please let me know so I can properly credit you.😊❤️🙏🏼

Do no harm, take no shit.

This is life at it’s simplest. We do the best we can as humans to live the life we want without harming others (including our beautiful Earth), but we also don’t take on the pain and abuse that comes from other humans. But the reality is – more often than not, we tend to anyway.

There are conscious and unconscious beings. Two sides of the same coin. Which one are you? There’s no right or wrong here, just the play of duality that is The All.

But learn to say no, learn to establish boundaries, learn to listen to your intuition when something doesn’t feel right.

Learn when or when not to react to something or someone.

Think of your energy as currency or like money: how much energy do you want to spend on that situation or relationship?

Is it really worth your time, but even more so – your energy? Does it make you feel good or does it make you feel like shit?

Pay attention to your body, for it will reveal how you really feel about something or someone.

Learn to listen and express opinions without resorting to name calling or getting angry because someone’s thoughts are different from yours.

We are all connected, whether you’re aware of it or not.

This is not meant to be preachy, as we can all benefit from awareness of the self. Is it better to be self-aware or to live in ignorant bliss? I wrote this blog post in less than 15 minutes, mostly to have words go with this image.

Crystals that can assist you with setting boundaries: Black Tourmaline

Crystals that bring in light from the universe and keep your vibration high: Selenite

Crystal of the Day: Phantom Chlorite Quartz👻

I read something in Robert Simmons’ Book of Stones where he says (just not in these exact words) that everything he writes in his books is channeled information and is not scientifically proven. It is all based on personal experimentation: spending time meditating with the crystals and stones and recording the information he receives to learn about how they affect him personally.

So instead of me googling or reaching for my copy of Book of Stones, I will do my best to tell you about this fantastic mineral specimen: Phantom Chlorite Quartz

Phantom Chlorite Quartz has a ghostly vibe to it, like you can literally see it’s previous stages of growth. It’s almost like a skeleton, but not really. And so appropriate because at the time of this blog post, Halloween is just 5 days away.👻

Each quartz crystal grows in layers; often times a Quartz that’s growing will have other minerals include itself in its growth process – and so it is with Phantom Chlorite Quartz, whose layers are visible via the Chlorite that included itself.

Metaphysically, Chlorite helps us to heal our wounds, allowing us to accept ourselves as we are; acknowledging the mistakes we’ve made in the past and appreciating how far we’ve come in life. We can look at our past and observe it in present time, without attaching any emotions to it. With Quartz in the mix, these properties are amplified and magnified.

This amazing, Large Phantom Chlorite Quartz is available for purchase here.

Do You Need Crystals & Stones To Live Your Best Life?

Do you need crystals & stones to live your best life?

My answer: No.

However, we ALL need support. Just like we have friends and teachers who want to see us be happy and successful beings, our generous earth wants the same – just on a larger scale.

So once you get into crystals, your love will definitely expand. Not just for yourself, but for all beings. You will gain a new appreciation for the world you live in, and so much more.

– METAPHYSICAL VIBES

You don’t have to have all the crystals either, just the ones you vibe with. And of course, this can change over time.

Again, crystals and stones are there for energetic support. They are not there to replace medical advice and treatment. Please use common sense and seek professional help if you feel that something is really wrong.

Video: ASMR Reiki & Crystal Healing Roleplay

While looking for crystal healing videos, I stumbled on this one. I had no clue that the ASMR community has incorporated Reiki & Crystal Healing into their videos! I’m not mad at it either, as a matter of fact I watched a few minutes of it and found it very relaxing. I couldn’t watch it all though because I’m not at home. Also, it’s best to have some headphones on when watching these videos so you can turn up the volume, hear her talking with her soft voice as well as hear all the tapping sounds.

For those who don’t know, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. You can read all about it here.

One of the first ASMR videos I actually watched was by Gentle Whispering. Oddly enough, she also did a video with crystals in it!

I am really in awe of everyone’s creativity on YouTube. So yeah, even if it is just ‘roleplay’, I admire how much detail each ASMR artist puts into their videos.

I’ve been wanting to do YouTube videos, but I’m not sure what I would make my videos about.

Video: Women Try Crystal Healing For Chronic Pain

I stumbled upon this interesting video while considering another certification in crystal healing.

What was so interesting about it? The two girls seemed like total skeptics to me, which is a perfect example because that’s how most of us start when trying something we don’t fully understand – we laugh and joke about it but were still willing to try it anyway.

What was even more interesting was that while one girl went 180 the other one still remained skeptical. Overall it was worth a watch, I also admire how the crystal healer handled these two women with such grace and power.

I posted this video here because while I am running this crystal shop, I am also delving deeper by expanding my knowledge and experience in these healing modalities. I just love this kind of stuff so it fascinates and inspires me even more when I can witness the subtle power of a crystal healing.

To me, a crystal healing is not just the healer and the crystals doing the healing – the person receiving the healing is also a participant in their own healing. In fact, a crystal healing may even be the catalyst for your self-healing journey – as I believe that women and men can heal themselves, as your higher self lead you to the experience for a reason.

If you are interested in getting a session from this lovely woman, her name is Jules and her website is Auralux – she is located here in Los Angeles, CA. I do not know her yet and she doesn’t know me, but wanted to share her information with you.

Crystal of the Day: Amphibole “Angel Phantom” Quartz

What can I say about Amphibole Quartz that hasn’t already been said online…

it’s a Quartz crystal filled with all kinds of other minerals – Crocidolite or blue asbestos, Hematite, Kaolinite, Limonite and more – when cut and polished it creates what looks like flowing, wispy wings and texture inside the crystal, thus giving it the nicknames Angel Phantom Quartz or Amphibole Lightning Quartz.

Definition of amphibole from dictionary.com:

  1. any of a complex group of hydrous silicate minerals, containing chiefly calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, and aluminum, and including hornblende, tremolite, asbestos, etc., occurring as important constituents of many rocks.

And yes, the mineral group does give you the vibe of angel phantoms and lightning – for me personally, I imagine visions of fiery angels accompanied by gray clouds and thunderous flashes of bright light descending down from the heavens with giant, wispy wings.🔥

Wouldn’t that would be a mind blowing experience!⚡👁⚡

Some articles describe Angel Phantom Quartz as gentle. My personal opinion: it is not gentle and soft at all, but loud and somewhat intense. I suppose it depends on each individual specimen, but this particular one is definitely fiery, most likely from red Hematite.

So while we’re waiting for angels to appear to us, we have a perfect 3D representation of that powerful, ethereal and angelic force – the Amphibole Quartz. You can work with Amphibole Quartz to open the 3rd and 6th or 7th chakras – as they work together to assist you with creative manifestation from a higher, more spiritual plane.

I also want to add that you don’t have to believe in angels to appreciate Angel Phantom Quartz – from an artistic point of view, the amphiboles also look like layers of three dimensional brush strokes from a painting. Mother nature is truly amazing.

Because it’s Quartz which is programmable and contains all other colors within itself; and that there are so many other minerals present in Amphibole Quartz, I believe that you can balance all chakras as well with this crystal.

Edit: this amazing specimen has sold. We are currently out of Amphibole Quartz. Please Metaphysical Vibes Crystal Shop to see what else we have.

Crystal Book Reads: Cosmic Crystals by RA Bonewitz

Often times I’ll buy a book based on its cover and this one is no exception. I love the typography, the use of star and crystal elements – a combination I never seem to tire of. Vintage books are probably more interesting cover-wise than most modern book covers these days, at least to me.

I believe RA Bonewitz has a science background but also had a spiritual experience of some sort and so he blends geology and metaphysical stuff into this book. Included are technical illustrations of the atomic structure of minerals as well as different shapes and sizes of them.

I’ve not finished the book but have jumped around mostly, I confess that I have a hard time finishing all sorts of books because I go in and out of being interested.

Nonetheless, this is a fascinating book to have in your collection if you love and appreciate crystals and minerals both from a geological and metaphysical point of view.

Video: The Sage Goddess on Success and How to Grow Your Etsy Shop

Some sage advice from the Sage Goddess herself, Athena Perrakis on success and how to grow your Etsy shop.

I’m posting this here because A) it’s metaphysical related and B) I personally got a lot out of it. I’m definitely learning as I go with having this small business! I’m thankful that mystical women entrepreneurs are sharing their knowledge and expertise with us.

I also think that a lot of people who visit my website also want to start a business of their own or already have one. I believe this video will be helpful to you.

Entrepreneurship is huge right now; I don’t think there’s ever been a time where literally everyone owns a business of some sort. It’s quite fascinating to be alive in the 21st century, isn’t it?

Watch this video if you are someone who:

  1. Wants to have an online business with physical products
  2. Someone who wants to have a conscious business

I’ve also transcribed the 9 Keys to Success from the video:

I want to add that even though Athena is basing it off her own experience from having an actual store with products in it, the keys below still apply to those of us (myself included) who operate an online shop.

  1. Start with a demand.
You cannot maintain success without a customer demand for your products or services.
  2. Understand and appreciate your audience.
Figure out how they think so you can solve their problems and make them feel heard and appreciated.
  3. Establish the business.
Figure out as much of the nuts and bolts of business as you can while still employed.
  4. Craft an authentic brand.
You won’t be able to maintain your marketing efforts and grow your online community if the brand is inauthentic.
  5. Listen to your intuition.
Quiet your mind. Block out fears, doubts, deadlines, competitors, experts, etc. so you can hear your inner voice.
  6. Build a strong team.
Find the right employees, make them feel valued and set their expectations about how you operate up front.
  7. Don’t forget about self care.
Don’t build your vision at the expense of yourself.
  8. Find a way to stay present.
Make sure you enjoy the journey itself. Don’t miss the meaningful moments along the way.
  9. Stay grateful.
Develop a simple daily gratitude practice.

Wasn’t that wonderful? The 9 keys are simple yet very impactful.

Yet I know what you’re thinking. You’re probably wondering: well why didn’t she talk about money at all, I mean isn’t that the number one objective in having a business?

I say watch the video again because you may have missed some of the important things she says, like taking risks.

Taking risks is different for everybody. For Athena, she had to make sure that her family was taken care of before she left her corporate job.

I’m in that same exact boat right now. Yes, I’m pursuing my dream. But having a business is a risk and as much as I want this to be my fulltime thing right now, I still have to think about who and what I am responsible. I have bills to pay and a cat to feed AND I live in Los Angeles; it can get expensive.

And so while I build up this business, I still have my fulltime job.

Conclusion:

I believe that if you follow these 9 keys, the money will come. But you also have to be patient and be willing to stick it out.
