Crystals for Sale: Quartz Crystals That Look Like Spaceships!šŸš€

I’ve been thinking a lot about cosmic starseedsĀ lately and wondering if I am one.

I’ve also been YouTubing Light Language these last few weeks and luckily I’m attending a Light Language Activation at Open Eye Crystals today. I’ve been reading online a lot about these subjects and even though I feel as if I don’t really fit the description of a starseed, I’m still fascinated by the idea that I could be one.āœØ

I mean, why does this stuff even interest me, you know? There HAS to be a reason why my spirit pulls me in these particular directions.

So I posted this neat Quartz crystal cluster on my Instagram recently. It’s a Laser Quartz cluster from Diamantina region in Brazil. I chose this cluster from a group of similar crystal clusters because of the way the crystals are formed – nearly angled horizontally and tabular almost like the top surface of a spacecraft.

So I hope whoever resonates with this crystal cluster will see the same thing as me as it truly feels out of this world and wouldn’t mind hanging on to it a bit longer. Since Quartz is known to amplify energy, the fact that I think this looks like a spaceship can literally induce multidimensional travel during meditation.

And what do I mean by ‘multidimensional travel’?

Even though we are in our physical bodies everyday, I also believe that we are constantly ‘traveling’ through our other bodies. Like when we daydream or dwell on a past memory or think about the future, or even when we’re scrolling through social media on our phones – we are traveling. It may not be a physical location, but it still exists as a dimension just like the tv show “The Twilight Zone”.

Let’s say for example that when you’re reading a book – you’re imagination is taking you to wherever that book is taking place – fiction or nonfiction. Even with a nonfiction book, your mental body – the intellectual part of you – has transported you to the information you’re absorbing.

You can also experience multidimensional travel through meditation. Ask your guides to take you there, I’m sure they will be more than glad to help.

This unique and one of a kind Laser Quartz cluster is available for purchase here at my Metaphysical Vibes’ Etsy shop.

I was also searching YouTube and found this interesting video about the Star Nations.

Opinion: Why Are Crystals So Expensive?

This is actually a very common question that I often hear from buyers, including myself after having my fair share of buying crystals & stones from metaphysical stores around town as well as online, you begin to wonder:

Why Are Crystals So Expensive?

Bare with me as I attempt to shed some light as to why buying crystals and stones can get expensive.

Also please be aware that these are based on my personal experience of being the buyer and eventually the seller. I am not speaking for everyone else.

A buyer’s point of view:

If you’re viewing this from the buyer’s point of view, well yes of course you’re going to think buying crystals at retail prices tend to get…yup, PRICY! Especially when they’re little stones. I totally get your thinking on this because as much as I love minerals, I have to be careful on not spending too much on them as well.

A seller or small business owner’s point of view:

If you’re viewing this from a small business person’s point of view, you probably understand that the whole point of having a business is to make money. And so crystals have to be marked up to pay for the cost of doing business – like whether you own a brick & mortar or e-commerce store there’s rent, fees, advertising costs, travel expenses like flying or driving to the Gem & Mineral shows in other states to buy those crystals, etc. and so much more.

So you see, those costs are added on to the crystals. But not everyone does this, as it all depends on the person. I mean, some sell just for the love of it. Others live in a state where the cost of living is low so there’s no need to mark up the stones while others (like me) live in a state that has a high cost of living so yes, in order for the effort of doing business to be worth it – crystals have to be marked up.

Other factors to consider:

  • The mineral or mineral combination might be rare or hard to find. For example: Larimar, Opal, Moldavite, Libyan Desert Glass and Ajoite just to name a few.
  • The people who actually mine minerals risk their lives by hiking up or going into a treacherous location such as a cave or a mountain, or an ancient volcanic area.
  • If it’s an Aura coated or Aura treated crystal (for example, Aqua Aura is permanently bonded with gold vapor), the cost of getting the crystal coated can get expensive.
  • Some wholesalers will mark up the price of the crystal, therefore in order to make your money back…you’ll also have to mark it up. Or not.
  • Each crystal or stone is a one of a kind piece. No two are alike. Also, they last forever. Can you imagine how much money that crystal has accumulated? You could be dead and that crystal or stone will continue to exist long after you and I.
  • The bigger the crystal, the more it costs to ship it. So yes I’m adding shipping costs to the list.

Conclusion:

There’s going to be all kinds of reasons as to why buying a crystal or stone can get expensive. As always, do your own research and trust yourself to make the right purchase.

Also think of it this way: if you’re buying something that’s a tad expensive let’s say from your local retail shop – you are actually helping that shop stay in business. Same with an online store. If you love supporting small businesses like mine, then the cost won’t seem so harsh. It’s all a matter of perspective as to what you think is valuable, as everyone is buying or selling at any given time.

I hope this makes some sense. The photo above features my Pyrite with Quartz cluster from my personal collection, which was expensive $$$ but I really wanted it. And I have no regrets.šŸ’›šŸ¤‘šŸ’›

Crystal of the Day: Phantom Chlorite QuartzšŸ‘»

I read something in Robert Simmons’ Book of Stones where he says (just not in these exact words) that everything he writes in his books is channeled information and is not scientifically proven. It is all based on personal experimentation: spending time meditating with the crystals and stones and recording the information he receives to learn about how they affect him personally.

So instead of me googling or reaching for my copy of Book of Stones, I will do my best to tell you about this fantastic mineral specimen: Phantom Chlorite Quartz

Phantom Chlorite Quartz has a ghostly vibe to it, like you can literally see it’s previous stages of growth. It’s almost like a skeleton, but not really. And so appropriate because at the time of this blog post, Halloween is just 5 days away.šŸ‘»

Each quartz crystal grows in layers; often times a Quartz that’s growing will have other minerals include itself in its growth process – and so it is with Phantom Chlorite Quartz, whose layers are visible via the Chlorite that included itself.

Metaphysically, Chlorite helps us to heal our wounds, allowing us to accept ourselves as we are; acknowledging the mistakes we’ve made in the past and appreciating how far we’ve come in life. We can look at our past and observe it in present time, without attaching any emotions to it. With Quartz in the mix, these properties are amplified and magnified.

This amazing, Large Phantom Chlorite Quartz has sold.

Crystal of the Day: Amphibole “Angel Phantom” Quartz

What can I say about Amphibole Quartz that hasn’t already been said online…

it’s a Quartz crystal filled with all kinds of other minerals – Crocidolite or blue asbestos, Hematite, Kaolinite, Limonite and more – when cut and polished it creates what looks like flowing, wispy wings and texture inside the crystal, thus giving it the nicknames Angel Phantom Quartz or Amphibole Lightning Quartz.

Definition of amphibole from dictionary.com:

  1. any of a complex group of hydrous silicate minerals, containing chiefly calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, and aluminum, and including hornblende, tremolite, asbestos, etc., occurring as important constituents of many rocks.

And yes, the mineral group does give you the vibe of angel phantoms and lightning – for me personally, I imagine visions of fiery angels accompanied by gray clouds and thunderous flashes of bright light descending down from the heavens with giant, wispy wings.šŸ”„

Wouldn’t that would be a mind blowing experience!āš”šŸ‘āš”

Some articles describe Angel Phantom Quartz as gentle. My personal opinion: it is not gentle and soft at all, but loud and somewhat intense. I suppose it depends on each individual specimen, but this particular one is definitely fiery, most likely from red Hematite.

So while we’re waiting for angels to appear to us, we have a perfect 3D representation of that powerful, ethereal and angelic force – the Amphibole Quartz. You can work with Amphibole Quartz to open the 3rd and 6th or 7th chakras – as they work together to assist you with creative manifestation from a higher, more spiritual plane.

I also want to add that you don’t have to believe in angels to appreciate Angel Phantom Quartz ā€“ from an artistic point of view, the amphiboles also look like layers of three dimensional brush strokes from a painting. Mother nature is truly amazing.

Because it’s Quartz which is programmable and contains all other colors within itself; and that there are so many other minerals present in Amphibole Quartz, I believe that you can balance all chakras as well with this crystal.

Edit: this amazing specimen has sold. We are currently out of Amphibole Quartz. Visit Metaphysical Vibes Crystal Shop to see what else we have.

Crystal Book Reads: Cosmic Crystals by RA Bonewitz

Often times I’ll buy a book based on its cover and this one is no exception. I love the typography, the use of star and crystal elements – a combination I never seem to tire of. Vintage books are probably more interesting cover-wise than most modern book covers these days, at least to me.

On the back cover of the book it says:

Ra Bonewitz is the foremost authority on the spiritual aspects of crystals. A scientist, professional geologist, psychic and mystic, he is a unique combination of the practical and the intuitive. As well as working as a trance medium and healer, he travels widely giving lectures and workshops on crystal energies and their applications.

I’ve not finished the book but have jumped around mostly, I confess that I have a hard time finishing all sorts of books because I go in and out of being interested.

Nonetheless, this is a fascinating book to have in your collection if you love and appreciate crystals and minerals both from a geological and metaphysical point of view.

The full title of the book is Cosmic Crystals – Crystal Consciousness and the New Age, the author is Ra Bonewitz.

Everything Takes Time to Grow and Evolve

Everything takes time to grow and evolveā€¦

especially us humans.

As I think about how to grow my crystal shop online through writing content, sharing it on social channels, SEO, etc., I started pondering how long it took for crystals to grow into the beautiful crystalline beings they are now.

In comparison, crystal growth takes A LOT longer than human consciousness. It ONLY took our Earth 4 BILLION+ years to be where she is now and I’m pretty sure she’s not done.

So why is it so hard to just be patient with ourselves?

Why is it so hard to just ā€˜beā€™ where we are right now?

Because humans have this innate desire to create and be something; I believe we are descendants of a higher intelligence that coded this into our existence. There’s even a few scientific articles that states we have alien DNA in our bodies. Is it a possibility that these aliens are actually us?šŸ‘½

But I digress.

I ask these questions because I am the same exact way. Sometimes I am impatient and a bit hard on myself, I want to see results right now.

Ever since I was kid I couldnā€™t ‘wait’ to be a grownup. I couldnā€™t wait to get my driver’s license, drive and go places. When I was 15 years old, I couldnā€™t ‘wait’ to be 18 so I could finally be independent and away from my parents.

My issues sound really mundane, but a lot of us actually think this way.

Just like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars – I was always looking ahead to the future.

And so now looking back at my childhood as an adult, everything seems like a blur. I wasnā€™t very present, I always wanted to escape somehow.

I guess what Iā€™m trying to say here is šŸ¢SLOW DOWNšŸ¢ and enjoy the growth process itself.

At times the growth process will fluctuate between fun and exciting to annoying and uncomfortable, but try to ‘be with’ whatever it is you are experiencing right now.

I wish I had done this, but even as I write this I know that people will learn things when the time is right for them to do so.

Living in the age of the internet doesnā€™t help – we want convenience and instant EVERYTHING.

The more reason to practice patience, self love and gratitude for where you are now.

In some ways, I am glad to have been chosen as a crystal custodian as the crystals will always teach us something. Perhaps that is why they chose me, so I can learn to slow down and enjoy the now, for this exact moment will never be repeated again.

Growth, evolution and healing takes time. Be patient, be kind and most of all loving towards yourself – people will come and go in your life but in the end – you are the only person you have to live with for the rest of your life.

Having Too Many Aura Crystals Can Be Dangerous, Hereā€™s Why

Iā€™ll be the first to say that I absolutely LOVE Aura crystals. Theyā€™re beautiful, theyā€™re sparkly, shiny and so very prettyā€¦

and thatā€™s EXACTLY what makes them so freakin dangerous.

But before I go any further – what IS an Aura crystal?

An Aura crystal is a crystal – can be Clear Quartz or any variety of the Quartz family – that undergoes a heat or electrochemical treatment where metal combined with oxygen (usually Iā€™m told itā€™s Titanium Oxide or a mixture of other metals) are permanently bonded to the surface of the crystal; creating a variety ranging from very intense metallic rainbow colors (Rainbow or Flame Aura) to those ethereal, heavenly looking crystals (Angel or Opal Aura) or to the sparkly yet calming blue color that Aqua Aura is known for. And so much more.

They are very popular and attract people who normally wouldnā€™t be into crystals.

So back to the dangerous part.

Having way too many Aura crystals in oneā€™s collection can be dangerous for a couple of reasons:

1. You may start to miss the whole point of working with crystals in the first place.

Because theyā€™re so pleasing to the eye, one can end up becoming bedazzled by these Aura crystals, so much that you forget about the healing part.

Some even believe that after undergoing an Aura treatment, the crystal no longer holds that same energy it originally had from Mother Earth.

Most statements are highly debatable so itā€™s better to see for yourself when making a decision to buy. I’ve said this in previous blog posts – it’s important to listen to yourself; just because others have opinions about something doesn’t mean it’s going to be true for you.

2. Youā€™re acquiring crystals based on appearances instead of energy.

Thereā€™s nothing wrong with buying something because you find it to be beautiful, but also consider how it feels? This is tied to the first point Iā€™m trying to make by getting caught up with looks instead of personality (or energy).

I believe that Aura crystals DO serve a purpose with their beauty – their gorgeous coloring can definitely stimulate positive, uplifting vibrations.

Color therapy would be a great example of the positive uses of Aura crystals.

But do they heal?

Again, thatā€™s another debatable question and probably depends on the individual. How do you feel about it?

Letā€™s put it this way – everything that humans create (manmade) – serves a purpose.

Anything from an amazing work of art, to a stuffed animal has the capacity to stir up an emotion from someone.

Even things that we use everyday and probably take for granted have a very specific purpose – cups to hold the water we drink, a car that takes us from point A to B, or a shell you picked up at a beach to have as a souvenirā€¦

So it is the same with an Aura crystal that reminds us of our divine and biological nature, merging as one.

Conclusion:

Pay attention to your feelings when purchasing an Aura crystal. Are you buying something for artificial reasons or are you feeling something off the crystal? No one is shaming you here, this is just something that entered my mind and wanted to write about.

I wrote this blog post because I also tend to get swept away with wanting to buy all the Aura crystals on Instagram or Etsy. So trust me, I can definitely relate! I literally had to unfollow certain accounts on Instagram in order to not spend any more money.

Buy What You Love, Even If It Is Expensive.

This might be an odd topic to write about on here, but I feel that it needs to be addressed.

When you have a business, often times you will be criticized for being too pricy or expensive. Even a small business like myself has already gotten a couple of comments about it. This becomes normal as you expose yourself to the public more and more; they’ll be sure to leave comments on Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, etc. And that’s totally fine; everyone has a right to express their thoughts…it is the internet after all.

I suppose I could talk about all the expenses that I’ve accumulated to have this business up and running (especially here in California), but that’s probably boring and irrelevant to you so I won’t. Besides, I chose to have those expenses and I am confident that it will be worth it in the long run.

I’ll definitely offer a sale or discount here and there but I won’t lower my prices consistently just because someone is telling me that I’m pricy or expensive. To each their own and setting boundaries on what you will or will not do to make a sale is important.

When I buy crystals from other people (and I do)…if I really want it, I buy it regardless of price. I don’t shame the seller into making them feel that their price is too high, I understand completely that they have to make a profit too. We ALL have to make a profit. I mean, that’s the WHOLE point of having a business right? Doing what we love AND making a profit from it; otherwise what’s the point of being in business if we’re not going to thrive? It’s too much energy and effort.

Amazon and Walmart are able to sell stuff for cheap because they are mega giants and are in a capitalist/competitive mindset. Small businesses are not, at least not me.

So this is me just putting it out there to anyone who happens to be reading this:

Buy what you love, even if it is expensive. Would you value it just as much if you bought it for cheap?

Don’t get me wrong; I also look for lower priced crystals and stones on occasion. But it also largely depends on its energy.

I’m reading a book about creating money and one of the concepts it talks about is this:

If you spend money without joy or love, out of obligation, resentment or worry, or with a feeling that you cannot afford what you buy, it will keep you out of the abundant flow of money.

If you buy things that you truly want with joy, your abundance will open up even more; it sends a message to your subconscious that you are deserving of such things.

I hope this gives you, the reader, some perspective.

And no, I’m not trying to convince you to buy crystals from me (although, I’d love it if you do and only if you see a crystal or stone that vibes with your personal energy).āš”

I’m also not saying that you should always buy expensive things and go into debt; rather, treat yourself every now and then to something that you really want, regardless of the price. If you know it will make you happy then go for it.

I chose to post a photo of this stunning Pyrite mineral since the day I wrote this is Thursday, day of the planet Jupiter; a planet associated with expansion. This Pyrite has sold.

Captivated by Optical Calcite aka “Iceland Spar”

I really want to blog more for Metaphysical Vibes, but truthfully my knowledge of the crystal kingdom is still quite limited that I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. There’s a lot of information that people can search for on the internet and I don’t want to regurgitate what’s already out there. I would like to be more intuition based but it’s proving to be a challenge to write it out.

On the flipside, I have been posting a lot of crystal videos on our Instagram page, and people seem to be into it.

I had one Optical Calcite aka Iceland Spar (which has sold) that is quite special, it’s very holographic and illusory in that everytime I twirl it in front of a light source I see something different. Like from a few angles it’s full of color and looks quite trippy and dimensional, but as soon as you turn it it disappears. I’m sort of obsessed with it.

To me Optical Calcite reminds us of our three dimensional selves – are we really real? Or are our human identities just some sort of spacesuit? At any given moment, our lives can be cut short and then we disappear, our physical bodies disintegrating back to the earth. The only thing we can hang on to is the experiences we’ve had – the metaphysical feelings of love, joy, pain, sorrow, etc.

What is real is the eternal you, pure consciousness; the one who is the observer of it all.
