7 Healing Crystals & Stones for Your Chakras

Chakras – you’ve probably heard or read about them a lot these days. Look at the hashtag for ‘chakra’ or ‘chakras’ on Instagram and you’ll see over 2 million posts related to it.

But really though – what IS a chakra, and why is it important?

Chakras are basically energy centers of the energetic or subtle body. Though we can’t see them, they are often depicted as wheels or discs that are constantly spinning, each one a color of the rainbow. Together they form our human energetic field, sometimes called the rainbow body but more commonly known as the aura.

Although these are abstract concepts, we are actually experiencing the chakras at work daily through our thoughts, feelings and how we perceive life. Each chakra is also connected to organs in our physical body.ย

For example, the color red represents our first chakra often called the root or base chakra – located at the end of our spine – the tailbone. This chakra represents our connectedness to our physical body and the earth as well as feeling centered, grounded and at home. When this chakra is imbalanced, we can expect to feel the opposite: feeling spaced out or not present, not connected to our body; not feeling safe.

How can healing stones help with our chakras?

The purpose of learning about our chakras is to bring awareness to our own actions and behaviors. We want to achieve balance and harmony in our energetic body because if we don’t, it eventually affects the physical body.

We can work with healing stones – stones that correlate to our chakras – to help bring us back into balance.

You can visit a crystal healer to assist you with this or you can do it yourself by placing stones along your body to effect healing.

Here is an example of healing stones you can work with to help balance the 7 chakras of your body:

1st Chakra – Red – Red Jasper, Smoky Quartz
Place in between your crotch area or right in between your upper thighs.

2nd Chakra – Orange – Carnelian, Garnet
Place on your abdomen area below the belly button.

3rd Chakra – Yellow – Citrine, Pyrite, Tiger’s Eye
Place on your stomach area above the belly button.

4th Chakra – Green (or Pink) – Green Aventurine, Rose Quartz
Place on your heart.

5th Chakra – Blue – Blue Lace Agate, Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli
Place on your throat.

6th Chakra – Violet – Amethyst, Fluorite
Place on your forehead or third eye center.

7th Chakra – White – Quartz, Selenite
Place above your head.

Conclusion:

This is just a basic rundown of the 7 Chakra system and the healing crystals & stones you can use to heal, balance and align your energetic body.

Crystals for Sale: Quartz Crystals That Look Like Spaceships!๐Ÿš€

I’ve been thinking a lot about cosmic starseedsย lately and wondering if I am one.

I’ve also been YouTubing Light Language these last few weeks and luckily I’m attending a Light Language Activation at Open Eye Crystals today. I’ve been reading online a lot about these subjects and even though I feel as if I don’t really fit the description of a starseed, I’m still fascinated by the idea that I could be one.โœจ

I mean, why does this stuff even interest me, you know? There HAS to be a reason why my spirit pulls me in these particular directions.

So I posted this neat Quartz crystal cluster on my Instagram recently. It’s a Laser Quartz cluster from Diamantina region in Brazil. I chose this cluster from a group of similar crystal clusters because of the way the crystals are formed – nearly angled horizontally and tabular almost like the top surface of a spacecraft.

So I hope whoever resonates with this crystal cluster will see the same thing as me as it truly feels out of this world and wouldn’t mind hanging on to it a bit longer. Since Quartz is known to amplify energy, the fact that I think this looks like a spaceship can literally induce multidimensional travel during meditation.

And what do I mean by ‘multidimensional travel’?

Even though we are in our physical bodies everyday, I also believe that we are constantly ‘traveling’ through our other bodies. Like when we daydream or dwell on a past memory or think about the future, or even when we’re scrolling through social media on our phones – we are traveling. It may not be a physical location, but it still exists as a dimension just like the tv show “The Twilight Zone”.

Let’s say for example that when you’re reading a book – you’re imagination is taking you to wherever that book is taking place – fiction or nonfiction. Even with a nonfiction book, your mental body – the intellectual part of you – has transported you to the information you’re absorbing.

You can also experience multidimensional travel through meditation. Ask your guides to take you there, I’m sure they will be more than glad to help.

This unique and one of a kind Laser Quartz cluster is available for purchase here at my Metaphysical Vibes’ Etsy shop.

I was also searching YouTube and found this interesting video about the Star Nations.

Grounding with Crystals & Stones

Grounding – you probably hear that word a lot if you’re into metaphysical or spiritual topics.

But what IS grounding and why is it important?

We hear the word ‘ground’ often – everyday actually but don’t think much of it, as a matter of fact I think we take it for granted.

We live on the ground, the ground which is the earth. Our feet are on it and we’re standing on it everyday. But again, we don’t think much of it.

Grounding is important because when we don’t ground, our energy can be all over the place and it’s more likely that things can go wrong throughout your day. We might even find ourselves in a situation that we didn’t see coming because we didn’t ground ourselves.

So what is grounding then?

Grounding is the intentional act of connecting to your body, the ground and to the earth.

You might be thinking to yourself as you read this ‘but I’m already on the ground, I’m already here.’

Are you really here though, or is your spirit wandering while someone is talking to you? You can be physically ‘here’ but still wander. Every single one of us is definitely guilty of daydreaming, thinking about yesterday, worrying about the future or just overthinking in general. We all get distracted one way or another.

So, how do we ground?

We ground by visualizing that we are connected to the earth through a grounding cord. Your grounding cord can be anything.

One of the ways to achieve this is by visualizing roots coming out of your feet and going deep into the ground just like a tree, or you can imagine an electric bolt of lightning piercing through you and running straight into the ground, straight into the core of the earth.

Most people use the tree as a perfect metaphor for grounding: a tree has its roots planted firmly into the earth. It is not easily shaken or will fall down if it’s a windy day, nor will it just slip away when it’s raining hard.

This is what we want to achieve when we are grounding ourselves – we want to be firmly ‘planted’ to the ground and not be swayed when we’re faced with stressful people or situations. You want to be calm and centered.

Do this everyday – before you leave your home, before you start driving or whenever you just feel ‘spacey’. You can ground wherever you are, even when you’re just standing somewhere.

Some popular crystals and stones that can help with grounding:

Agates – calm and stabilizing

Black Tourmaline – protects and purifies

Hematite – great for those who are extra spaced out

Obsidian – protects and releases

Jaspers – nurturing and creative Earth energy

Jet – protects

Smokey Quartz – transmutes negative energy

Even Quartz crystals when programmed, can be used for grounding; crystals and stones that are of a darker color – black, brown, gray, red.

You can place them near you whether at home or at work, you can also place them in your car.

The above photo is a Smokey Himalayan Quartz cluster and it’s available for purchase here.

Buy What You Love, Even If It Is Expensive.

This might be an odd topic to write about on here, but I feel that it needs to be addressed.

When you have a business, often times you will be criticized for being too pricy or expensive. Even a small business like myself has already gotten a couple of comments about it. This becomes normal as you expose yourself to the public more and more; they’ll be sure to leave comments on Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, etc. And that’s totally fine; everyone has a right to express their thoughts…it is the internet after all.

I suppose I could talk about all the expenses that I’ve accumulated to have this business up and running (especially here in California), but that’s probably boring and irrelevant to you so I won’t. Besides, I chose to have those expenses and I am confident that it will be worth it in the long run.

I’ll definitely offer a sale or discount here and there but I won’t lower my prices consistently just because someone is telling me that I’m pricy or expensive. To each their own and setting boundaries on what you will or will not do to make a sale is important.

When I buy crystals from other people (and I do)…if I really want it, I buy it regardless of price. I don’t shame the seller into making them feel that their price is too high, I understand completely that they have to make a profit too. We ALL have to make a profit. I mean, that’s the WHOLE point of having a business right? Doing what we love AND making a profit from it; otherwise what’s the point of being in business if we’re not going to thrive? It’s too much energy and effort.

Amazon and Walmart are able to sell stuff for cheap because they are mega giants and are in a capitalist/competitive mindset. Small businesses are not, at least not me.

So this is me just putting it out there to anyone who happens to be reading this:

Buy what you love, even if it is expensive. Would you value it just as much if you bought it for cheap?

Don’t get me wrong; I also look for lower priced crystals and stones on occasion. But it also largely depends on its energy.

I’m reading a book about creating money and one of the concepts it talks about is this:

If you spend money without joy or love, out of obligation, resentment or worry, or with a feeling that you cannot afford what you buy, it will keep you out of the abundant flow of money.

If you buy things that you truly want with joy, your abundance will open up even more; it sends a message to your subconscious that you are deserving of such things.

I hope this gives you, the reader, some perspective.

And no, I’m not trying to convince you to buy crystals from me (although, I’d love it if you do and only if you see a crystal or stone that vibes with your personal energy).โšก

I’m also not saying that you should always buy expensive things and go into debt; rather, treat yourself every now and then to something that you really want, regardless of the price. If you know it will make you happy then go for it.

I chose to post a photo of this stunning Pyrite mineral since the day I wrote this is Thursday, day of the planet Jupiter; a planet associated with expansion. This Pyrite has sold.

Self Love Healing with Affirmations and Rose Quartz๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ’—

S E L Fย  L O V E๐Ÿ’—

Everyone is talking about it, including myself.

But what is it?

S E L Fย  L O V Eย  is…

Becoming loving towards yourself.

S E L Fย  L O V Eย  is…

Speaking to yourself in the most loving and kind way.

Treating yourself like you would your best friend.

Forgiving yourself for past mistakes.

Actively listening to your own wants and needs.

I could keep going but I think you get my drift.

Why is self love important?

Self love is important because it can directly affect our health. If you’re into metaphysical topics, most books and teachers on the subject say this:

dis-ease manifests in our body before we even feel it; it starts in the invisible parts of ourselves (the etheric body and our aura) which is directly related to our thoughts and emotions.

I realize that the statement above probably sounds really vague, abstract and kind of ‘out there’. Believe me when I say that these concepts were foreign to me at some point too, but if it interests you enough then the information will start to sink in.๐Ÿ˜Š

Know that you are not just your physical body – you also have an emotional, mental and spiritual body; four bodies total.

Now if you REALLY want to get technical, we actually have more than 4 bodies and more than 7 chakras. I will stick to the topic and save that for another blog post.

So it is important to begin to think loving thoughts about ourselves, it’s important to drop the negativity and the self hate. When have you ever felt good and happy about saying bad things about yourself?

If it doesn’t feel good, then why continue?

I used to be in the same boat as you; I was always quick to call myself stupid, an idiot or a dumbass. I wasn’t kind to myself and I was especially harsh about my looks. I often thought I was fat and ugly.

After awhile, you notice that you just don’t feel good about yourself and the pattern of negativity keeps on repeating. You keep having the same experiences that seem to suck or drain your energy dry, like stressful relationships with people where nothing ever goes smoothly or just being constantly overworked at your job.

And so you resulted in eating bad food or drinking and doing drugs. Or doing things that push those negative feelings down or numb the pain.

And then it just keeps on happening over and over again and you can’t get out.

Perhaps you’re stuck in a similar kind of pattern in life that keeps on repeating that you’d like to get out of.

What are these patterns that I’m talking about? Patterns come in the form of negative thoughts, feelings, behaviors, actions.

I never considered myself super feminine or girly so I was not attracted to Rose Quartz for a long time. One of the books that really changed my life though is a book by Louise Hay called You Can Heal Your Life. The affirmations in that book were simple and really helped me to reprogram my brain to think better thoughts about myself.

What does self love have to do with Rose Quartz?

A whole lot actually, being that Rose Quartz IS only the most popular stone for healing our hearts and learning to love ourselves. No matter what gender you are, if you are ready to let love back in, you will be attracted to Rose Quartz.๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’—

You can start by just simply getting some Rose Quartz in raw or polished form (spheres, pyramids, self-standing towers, whatever your preference) and start putting it in your bedroom. In some ways, you don’t really have to do anything because just by you intending to get the stone and wanting to place it in your home, the healing has already begun. Crystals and stones are intelligent in that way and Rose Quartz immediately starts to do its gentle yet powerful work without you realizing it.๐ŸŒธ

Suggestion: combine Rose Quartz with an affirmation.

Hold your Rose Quartz to your heart, close your eyes and begin breathing in and out for a few minutes. You can think about what it is you’d like to let go of or just breathe. Whatever you choose, know that Rose Quartz is already healing you.

You can say “I am a loving and beautiful person”

or you can say your name and then say “I love and accept you as you are”.

In Louise Hay’s book, she suggests that we do this in front of a mirror. For me, it was kind of hard to look at myself and say “I love and accept you as you are” but if you keep practicing you will eventually dissolve those blocks of discomfort.

Conclusion:

When we are actively working with Rose Quartz and using affirmations on a regular basis, we can learn to undo the negative thought patterns that tend to occupy the mind which lead to physical manifestation that is often not good for us.

As the late Louise Hay says – YOU can heal your life.

We have some Rose Quartz – hearts and palm stones for sale at the shop

Question: I am a man, identify as a male or have masculine qualities so I’m not attracted to Rose Quartz or anything pink at all. Are there other stones I can work with?

Yes! In the Chakra system, the heart center is actually associated with the color green. You can work with any green stone – Green Adventurine, Green Apophyllite, Nephrite Jade, Peridot and Serpentine are a few examples. You can also work with a Quartz crystal, as it is known as a Master crystal that is used for all purposes.

As a matter of fact, you can work with any crystal or stone that personally represents love to you. Rose Quartz is just a starting point but it doesn’t have to be.

How to Break Through a Creative Block with Crystals

So I’m having a major creative block today. It’s gloomy and cold out here and even though today is Tuesday, a day associated with the planet Mars which is supposed to be all about action and energy – I don’t feel so motivated or action-oriented.

I want to crawl into bed and sleep, or read a good book then fall asleep. Then wake up and do absolutely nothing, or sit on the couch and scroll through Instagram and ‘like’ stuff.

Unfortunately, I can’t. I have a fulltime job and so I’m in front of the computer writing, thinking, trying to force some kind of creativity. If you’re a creative type then I know you can relate!

Creativity however, is not just limited to those ‘creative types’ that we normally think of – artists, designers, writers, musicians, etc. All of us, including the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms are in a constant state of creation.

But still, we all experience blocks.

How to Break Through a Creative Block with Crystals๐Ÿ’Ž

Here is a quick and easy way to start generating ideas using the assistance of a crystal, stone or even a fossil:

Step 1: Whatever crystal or stone you have with you, take it out and hold it. Metaphysical teachers often say that for the best results, use your receptive hand.

For example, I write with my right hand so my left hand would be the receptive hand.

Step 2: While holding the crystal take a deep breath in, exhale and ask it to help you get inspired. You can even hold it up to your third eye / brow area if you want, as long as no one’s looking of course so you don’t feel silly about it.๐Ÿ˜‰

If you don’t have anything with you, then search online for the first thing that pops into your mind, don’t spend too much time searching; trust that the first one you think of IS the crystal, stone or fossil you’re supposed to work with for this simple exercise.

Step 3: Spend a few minutes contemplating this crystal or stone (in my case, this large, gorgeous and iridescent Ammonite fossil). Observe its physical details – color, shape, any interesting characteristics that stand out to you; contemplate how long it took to grow and evolve and how far it actually traveled to get into your hands.

Step 4: Start writing in your notebook, journal or your blog – whatever you have in front of you.

Step 5: Thank the crystal or stone for helping you.

I want to add that maybe you might not instantly start getting ideas right away, it might happen now or maybe even later; either way give it time and be patient with yourself. Keep trying.

It’s easy to get caught up in ourselves, it’s easy to get swept away with what’s happening on social media, news, politics, etc.

We follow too many people thinking we’re going to get inspired by them when in reality we become overloaded with information and so we end up losing our very own selves, the very essence of who we are.

Thankfully we can work with crystals, stones or just about anything from nature to inspire us or get us back to our center. I know I definitely need to, as I work in graphics & marketing by day โ€“ I need to constantly have fresh ideas coming in.

Metaphysical Vibes’ Crystal Muse: Angel Aura Quartzโœจโœจโœจ

I have to admit – I have a hard time writing on here. I really want to write more but I’m much more comfortable writing my thoughts over at my art and personal blog: Save the Savages.

But I’ve also read a lot of articles on marketing your business online and a lot of them say that if you’re feeling stuck with handling different aspects of your business – start with what you’re good at.

And so what am I good at? I consider myself pretty good with creating graphics and visual content so that’s exactly what I did with the animated gif below.

I told myself that I would blog for Metaphysical Vibes today, even though I don’t know what to say as I still don’t think I’m a crystal expert at all nor will I ever be. But I don’t want to wait until I’m an expert because by then, I might already be dead!๐Ÿ’€

We have to try to do things now even if you or I feel that we’re not super good at it. What really counts is that you’re passionate about it, as there is never a perfect time to start anything.

As the popular saying goes – it’s time to get out of your comfort zone.

I will say one thing though: Angel Aura Quartz has a special place in my heart. I didn’t think I would love this metal-coated crystal, but it seems as if it has become my personal and business muse; very much like a beautiful friend that inspires and uplifts you.

And so I found myself creating this gif today because I wanted to add original content on this blog.

When I think of Angel Aura Quartz I think of beauty, inner peace, upliftment and inspiration from the higher realms, a truly positive and high vibration crystal. Perfect that Quartz is able to bond to such a treatment because they seem to truly go together, as Quartz amplifies those beautiful and positive thoughts.โœจ

The Angel Aura Quartz featured in this post has sold.

What Is So Special About Aura Quartz Crystals?

I didn’t really pay attention to Aura Crystals โ€“ a name that is given to any Quartz crystal whose surface is permanently bonded with natural, vaporized metal oxides (Silver, Platinum, Titanium, Zircon, Gold, Cobalt, Niobium, etc. or a combination of these) through a process called Vapor or Vacuum Deposition – until I entered the business side of crystals.

And prior to that, I only had one Angel Aura Quartz crystal and didn’t really get any special vibes from it. It was pretty, but that was it. I also noticed that when I scratched the surface of the crystal with my fingernail the pastel rainbow metallic film came off, which told me that the aura crystal wasn’t of high quality to begin with.๐Ÿ˜

Since then I have been somewhat obsessed with Aura Crystals, mostly wanting to know and even witness the process. What can I say, I am a bit of a nerd and obsessed with acquiring knowledge.๐Ÿค“

Which brings me to the topic of this blog post: What is so special about Aura Quartz crystals?

As I don’t quite understand my own growing fascination with them and the actual process of how they came to be, here’s my take on what makes them stand out:

+ Their intense metallic, vivid and iridescent colors instantly pulls you in and makes you say “wow”! I’d like to think that Aura Crystals work best through Color Therapy

+ They’re shiny, sparkly and look really cool on a cluster of crystals.

+ They really command your attention somehow because of their striking beauty.

+ The shape of the Quartz specimen โ€“ whether it’s a little point, a tumbled stone, a polished self-standing (or flat-bottom) tower, a cluster, a sphere, a geode, a Quartz unicorn carving or a giant, magnificent crystal is truly enhanced by the Aura treatment; you simply CANNOT pass by and ignore it.

I didn’t think they were special until I started to buy them for the shop, until I actually started to see better quality Aura Crystals, until I saw that people really loved them.

Also important to know: Aura Quartz is NOT the same as Aurora Quartz!

I learned recently that there is a natural Quartz crystal called Aurora Quartz or Anandalite. Apparently it exhibits natural rainbow flashes from within the crystal and it looks similar to Apophyllite.

Another important question: do you feel anything off these Aura Crystals?

This question is highly subjective and will vary from person to person as some people will say that Aura Crystals are manmade, while others will say it’s an alchemical union between nature (crystals) and science (the aura treatment process). But even manmade stuff uses raw materials from the earth so if you think about it, literally EVERYTHING comes from the earth.

I will however, say this: always trust your own intuition. Always trust your own feelings: if you love Aura Quartz, then keep on loving it; if you don’t, then you don’t. It’s that simple.๐Ÿ˜Š

If you’re not feeling anything off of them but still like them, you can always put your Aura crystals on or near a Clear Quartz cluster to cleanse or purify them or put them around other natural crystals. A Selenite slab would also be good for this.

If you love Aura Crystals please feel free to check out our selection at Metaphysical Vibes.

So tell us, why do you love Aura Quartz crystals; which one is your favorite?

Captivated by Optical Calcite aka “Iceland Spar”

I really want to blog more for Metaphysical Vibes, but truthfully my knowledge of the crystal kingdom is still quite limited that I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. There’s a lot of information that people can search for on the internet and I don’t want to regurgitate what’s already out there. I would like to be more intuition based but it’s proving to be a challenge to write it out.

On the flipside, I have been posting a lot of crystal videos on our Instagram page, and people seem to be into it.

I had one Optical Calcite aka Iceland Spar (which has sold) that is quite special, it’s very holographic and illusory in that everytime I twirl it in front of a light source I see something different. Like from a few angles it’s full of color and looks quite trippy and dimensional, but as soon as you turn it it disappears. I’m sort of obsessed with it.

To me Optical Calcite reminds us of our three dimensional selves – are we really real? Or are our human identities just some sort of spacesuit? At any given moment, our lives can be cut short and then we disappear, our physical bodies disintegrating back to the earth. The only thing we can hang on to is the experiences we’ve had – the metaphysical feelings of love, joy, pain, sorrow, etc.

What is real is the eternal you, pure consciousness; the one who is the observer of it all.
