I dedicate this desert rose mandala to Heather Heyer and all those who have ever stood up and spoken up for equality, diversity, compassion, peace and love. May every event in past and recent history where others tried to demolish difference awaken us to take action, to channel the anger, frustration, fear, sadness and pain into change. May it encourage us to connect more, teach more, learn more, love more. That starts in our own homes and communities. All of the hateful -isms and -ists are taught. Love sees no color, no shape, no size. It feels. It’s time right now we give those feels a voice. It was time yesterday and it will be tomorrow. Keep sharing the love and standing up for peace. All-ways. And here are some: • EDUCATE: Read and listen to all perspectives. Including your own. Be honest with your own judgements. Question why you have them and where they came from. Talk about recent events with friends and family. Don’t dismiss the fact that this is happening and that there are a range of opinions. Learn them and choose to teach love. • ACT: Speak up to prejudice and racist comments and actions when they happen. Don’t let their hate fester in you. Call it out. Let it be known that it is wrong and that you won’t allow it. • CONNECT: Click on the link in my bio for @nationmag’s list of ways to donate to the victims of Charlottesville and activate your local leaders to take action. Show up at your local and national peace rallies with friends and family and connect with community. We’re in this together. • BE KIND. That is all. ✨🙌✨#altaredspace #silenceisviolence

I struggled to find something meaningful to say in regards to recent hateful, tragic and violent events. So I’m reposting this from my Reiki teacher.💟☮️🙏
