Aura Quartz Crystals for Sale – YouTube Video from Metaphysical Vibes

Here’s a quick video that I made showing you some of the Aura Quartz crystals I still have available at my shop: Titanium Smoky Quartz, Angel Aura Quartz cluster (which I haven’t listed yet) and Sunset Aura Smokey Elestial Quartz.

Aura crystals are what sell the most in my shop, so that’s why I did this video.

Why are aura crystals so popular? In my opinion, people are drawn to their intense, metallic color. Men or male identifying people tend to buy the blue/green Titanium Smoky Aura, while women or female identifying people tend to buy Angel Aura or Opal Aura Quartz because they’re pretty. Rainbow lovers in general tend to buy Rainbow Titanium Aura.

These are just general observations based on what people have bought from my shop.

Having Too Many Aura Crystals Can Be Dangerous, Here’s Why

I’ll be the first to say that I absolutely LOVE Aura crystals. They’re beautiful, they’re sparkly, shiny and so very pretty…

and that’s EXACTLY what makes them so freakin dangerous.

But before I go any further – what IS an Aura crystal?

An Aura crystal is a crystal – can be Clear Quartz or any variety of the Quartz family – that undergoes a heat or electrochemical treatment where metal combined with oxygen (usually I’m told it’s Titanium Oxide or a mixture of other metals) are permanently bonded to the surface of the crystal; creating a variety ranging from very intense metallic rainbow colors (Rainbow or Flame Aura) to those ethereal, heavenly looking crystals (Angel or Opal Aura) or to the sparkly yet calming blue color that Aqua Aura is known for. And so much more.

They are very popular and attract people who normally wouldn’t be into crystals.

So back to the dangerous part.

Having way too many Aura crystals in one’s collection can be dangerous for a couple of reasons:

1. You may start to miss the whole point of working with crystals in the first place.

Because they’re so pleasing to the eye, one can end up becoming bedazzled by these Aura crystals, so much that you forget about the healing part.

Some even believe that after undergoing an Aura treatment, the crystal no longer holds that same energy it originally had from Mother Earth.

Most statements are highly debatable so it’s better to see for yourself when making a decision to buy. I’ve said this in previous blog posts – it’s important to listen to yourself; just because others have opinions about something doesn’t mean it’s going to be true for you.

2. You’re acquiring crystals based on appearances instead of energy.

There’s nothing wrong with buying something because you find it to be beautiful, but also consider how it feels? This is tied to the first point I’m trying to make by getting caught up with looks instead of personality (or energy).

I believe that Aura crystals DO serve a purpose with their beauty – their gorgeous coloring can definitely stimulate positive, uplifting vibrations.

Color therapy would be a great example of the positive uses of Aura crystals.

But do they heal?

Again, that’s another debatable question and probably depends on the individual. How do you feel about it?

Let’s put it this way – everything that humans create (manmade) – serves a purpose.

Anything from an amazing work of art, to a stuffed animal has the capacity to stir up an emotion from someone.

Even things that we use everyday and probably take for granted have a very specific purpose – cups to hold the water we drink, a car that takes us from point A to B, or a shell you picked up at a beach to have as a souvenir…

So it is the same with an Aura crystal that reminds us of our divine and biological nature, merging as one.

Conclusion:

Pay attention to your feelings when purchasing an Aura crystal. Are you buying something for artificial reasons or are you feeling something off the crystal? No one is shaming you here, this is just something that entered my mind and wanted to write about.

I wrote this blog post because I also tend to get swept away with wanting to buy all the Aura crystals on Instagram or Etsy. So trust me, I can definitely relate! I literally had to unfollow certain accounts on Instagram in order to not spend any more money.

Opal Glitter Holographic Quartz Points

Perhaps you’re a crystal lover looking for something inexpensive to buy online?

Using common quartz as the material, let me introduce you to my latest creations: Opal Glitter Holographic Quartz (or Opal Glitter Holo Quartz works too).

If you follow me on my personal Instagram account (@savethesavages), you’ll see in one of my posts that I’ve been obsessing about how Aura Quartz and its most popular varieties (Aqua and Rainbow) are made. I Googled so much information on the process (bonding gold or other metal vapors to the crystal in a process called vacuum or vapor deposition) that I was tired of reading about it…

I wanted to experiment and create my own version; not exactly the same process but I had fun playing and I’m quite happy with how they turned out.

I used Opal Glitter and Gold Glitter spray paint from Krylon, and a holographic spray paint called Spaz Stix. It took a few coats of spraying, drying and spraying again within a span of 4 days. I also cleansed and charged these points with water, kosher salt & water, sun rays, palo santo and kyanite.

These points get shimmery and subtly change color in sunlight or any indoor light source. These crystals are perfect for creating a sparkly crystal grid or just to have.

Quartz combined with opal, gold glitter and holographic spray paint amplifies sparkly and beautiful feelings.

My intention was to sell these at first, but I’ve decided to keep them. I only sold 1 of these actually. They have attuned to my personal vibration because I’ve been using them in my crystal grids.

Opinions vary in the metaphysical world; some may or may not like enhanced crystals. I just discovered recently while searching online for the Aura Quartz treatment, that manmade crystals also exist! Apparently their internal structure is identical to that of natural crystals.

Anyway, before I go off in a tangent; I wanted people to consider this:

We enhance our bodies, our physical appearances; we dye our hair, wear certain clothes and colors, paint our nails, make ourselves look more attractive. To each their own, as we all get different vibrations from stones and crystals.

Work with a crystal that resonates with you.

Opinion: Why Are Crystals So Expensive?

This is actually a very common question that I often hear from buyers, including myself after having my fair share of buying crystals & stones from metaphysical stores around town as well as online, you begin to wonder:

Why Are Crystals So Expensive?

Bare with me as I attempt to shed some light as to why buying crystals and stones can get expensive.

Also please be aware that these are based on my personal experience of being the buyer and eventually the seller. I am not speaking for everyone else.

A buyer’s point of view:

If you’re viewing this from the buyer’s point of view, well yes of course you’re going to think buying crystals at retail prices tend to get…yup, PRICY! Especially when they’re little stones. I totally get your thinking on this because as much as I love minerals, I have to be careful on not spending too much on them as well.

A seller or small business owner’s point of view:

If you’re viewing this from a small business person’s point of view, you probably understand that the whole point of having a business is to make money. And so crystals have to be marked up to pay for the cost of doing business – like whether you own a brick & mortar or e-commerce store there’s rent, fees, advertising costs, travel expenses like flying or driving to the Gem & Mineral shows in other states to buy those crystals, etc. and so much more.

So you see, those costs are added on to the crystals. But not everyone does this, as it all depends on the person. I mean, some sell just for the love of it. Others live in a state where the cost of living is low so there’s no need to mark up the stones while others (like me) live in a state that has a high cost of living so yes, in order for the effort of doing business to be worth it – crystals have to be marked up.

Other factors to consider:

  • The mineral or mineral combination might be rare or hard to find. For example: Larimar, Opal, Moldavite, Libyan Desert Glass and Ajoite just to name a few.
  • The people who actually mine minerals risk their lives by hiking up or going into a treacherous location such as a cave or a mountain, or an ancient volcanic area.
  • If it’s an Aura coated or Aura treated crystal (for example, Aqua Aura is permanently bonded with gold vapor), the cost of getting the crystal coated can get expensive.
  • Some wholesalers will mark up the price of the crystal, therefore in order to make your money back…you’ll also have to mark it up. Or not.
  • Each crystal or stone is a one of a kind piece. No two are alike. Also, they last forever. Can you imagine how much money that crystal has accumulated? You could be dead and that crystal or stone will continue to exist long after you and I.
  • The bigger the crystal, the more it costs to ship it. So yes I’m adding shipping costs to the list.

Conclusion:

There’s going to be all kinds of reasons as to why buying a crystal or stone can get expensive. As always, do your own research and trust yourself to make the right purchase.

Also think of it this way: if you’re buying something that’s a tad expensive let’s say from your local retail shop – you are actually helping that shop stay in business. Same with an online store. If you love supporting small businesses like mine, then the cost won’t seem so harsh. It’s all a matter of perspective as to what you think is valuable, as everyone is buying or selling at any given time.

I hope this makes some sense. The photo above features my Pyrite with Quartz cluster from my personal collection, which was expensive $$$ but I really wanted it. And I have no regrets.💛🤑💛
